We are looking for a talented Chief Layout Engineer to strengthen our Delivery Engineering team and to ensure successful customer projects. The position is permanent and offers exciting career opportunities in a global business environment with market-leading technologies.
As Chief Layout Engineer, you will:
Take overall technical responsibility for plant arrangement 3D model and drawing deliveries to our customers in Concentrator and Hydrometallurgy technology areas
Collaborate with the project team to gather information about the equipment requirements
Work in close cooperation with multiple internal and external stakeholders representing Metso's plant engineering
Lead and manage layout engineering tasks and team in projects and participate in the work in detail
Be responsible for the cost, quality, and schedule aspects of the relevant project’s engineering portion
Participate in developing working processes and practices with internal stakeholders
Be involved in sales, procurement, and technology development projects, as well as participate in and support site activities when needed
Grow to be an expert in Metso's Concentrator and Hydrometallurgy technology areas
To succeed, you will need:
Strong experience in plant engineering, preferably in the process industry
A degree in technical education (B.Eng., M.Eng. or M.Sc.)
Understanding of engineering tools: Microstation 3D, Aveva E3D
Problem-solving mindset
Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Great cooperation, leadership, and interpersonal skills
A clear understanding of how to implement products into projects
Project-oriented working methods, as well as the ability to work independently and pro-actively
Good written and spoken communication skills in English
