Your New Role

Survitec have a very exciting opportunity to join our Operational team that is dedicated to translating business strategy into operational delivery plans to maximise the company’s operating and financial performance. They communicate business strategy to their people, ensuring everyone in their area of the organisation has a clear understanding of how their work directly contributes to meeting organisation objectives, mission and values.

This role leads operations to best in class standards for a Survitec site. The role actively manages and deepens relationships with customers and provides an excellent customer experience throughout operational delivery. It focuses on translating mission, vision and values into operational excellence; it sets operational priorities, analyses and drives performance and motivates people to deliver operational excellence and financial performance.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

· Leads the development and implementation of operational plan for a Survitec site, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with the wider business strategy

· Sets business unit operational priorities, analyses performance, motivates people to deliver and drives operational excellence. Delivers business growth through efficiency, appropriate margin and EBITDA and customer retention

· Identifies and communicates the actions needed to implement strategy and business plan within the business area; provides Survitec colleagues with a clear view of how operational plans support the broader organisation's mission, vision and values; motivates people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals

· Assists in the development of annual business plans, ensuring alignment with strategy. Recommends financial and headcount budgets; proposes business targets (e.g., revenues or other key performance indicators); and schedules key activities and projects, ensuring integration with other elements of the organisation

· Collaborates effectively with Commercial and Sales teams to ensure market growth strategy and plans are achievable and takes responsibility for providing excellent customer experience throughout operational delivery, taking an active role in managing and deepening the customer relationship

· Initiates, formulates and implements new business practices and continuous improvement methods and manages change effectively

· Manages and reports on performance within the area; sets appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and holds them accountable for achieving these; takes appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives

· Ensures all colleagues within the business area have effective personal development reviews and delivers a succession plan for all key roles

· Evaluates the capabilities of staff within the department to identify gaps and prioritize development activities. Implements Survitec’s formal development frameworks within the area. Coaches and mentors others to support the development of the Survitec talent pool

· Creates an environment where everyone in the team can live the Survitec Values

· Understands, upholds and contributes to creating a safety-first culture within Survitec. Ensures a safe and healthy working environment

· Is prepared to take the role of local Health and Safety officer over and acts as the first person of contact during internal and external audits

· Has General knowledge on HR/Pay-roll matters (you will be supported by the HRBP Central Europe & pay-roll team from the UK

· Develops own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gains or maintains external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfil personal potential. Maintains an in-depth understanding of technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

· Educated to University Degree or Post-Graduate / Master’s Degree level qualification

· 10+ years’ experience in a similar role

· 6 + years of general managerial experience defining, planning, managing and organising resources in line with business strategy for short and medium timescales
