Field-based role to cover Dutch-speaking part of Belgium
Area: East Flanders, West Flanders, Antwerp, and Flemish Brabant provinces
Role Purpose
To support the Regional Sales Manager in developing and maintaining the business contacts with our existing customers and to expand the sales by hunting for new opportunities.
Responsible for strategic developments, management, growth, profit, and sales of the dedicated franchise/product group/account.
Development of a long-term business plan in cooperation with the Regional Sales Manager.
Your responsibilities
Strategic
The Product Sales Representative is responsible for carrying out the strategic targets of the Business Unit Reconstruction in the dedicated region for the dedicated products of hip, knee and trauma.
The primary responsibility is to realize the sales targets, which have also been drawn up by him/her, and which are expressed in budgets to be realized.
Drawing up an (annual) account plan for each hospital, in which the strategy set out on a national level plotted forms the basis for regional targets and sales activities.
Supplying market details, when asked and also when not asked, which may affect the drawing up of the strategy to be set out on a national level. This implies that not only details to build up a client file must be provided, but also details about competitors.
Operational
The Product Sales Representative carries out the following tasks independently:
- Conducting sales talks with selected target groups. This may involve product meetings (specialists, managers and/or assistants of operating rooms, sterilization employees), or general business talks (buyers, managers of operating rooms).
- Assisting with products through presence in the OR Theatre if needed.
- Maintaining expertise in the field of products, operation techniques and sales, through self-study and keeping up with specialist literature.
- Giving product presentations to selected target groups.
- Offering product information at stands, symposiums and conferences.
- Giving extra training and refresher courses to selected target groups.
- Assessing (potential) accounts and leads.
- Establishing Decision Making Unit (DMU) for each account.
Your profile
- Nurse by training or profession with demonstrated experience in the OR
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the industry in sales or account management
- Experience in health care and medical device environment
- OR nurses working in hospitals eager to learn and develop in a hybrid role ( OR case support and sales) who wish to have industrial experience accepted
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Knowable of human anatomy. Knowledge to build solid relationships with orthopedic surgeons
- Technical competencies on hip and knee implants is a strong advantage
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and in English - French speaking is a plus
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
